Planning & Chaos, Chaos & Planning

We are in the middle of a huge planning phase for the next few months and where better to do your planning than by a toasty wood fire with a pint to hand?

We are aware of flaws in our setup, we’ve had a bit of a bad run of it this year with flooding and damp problems but hopefully they’re all resolved and we can get on with focusing on the next phases of upgrades to the Offbeat Brewery Taproom and keep brewing up some great beers.

At the moment we are trying to create extra floor space in the middle unit and find storage for loads of things. This will give us more seating more easily available and we want to be able to have seats for all in a warm, comfortable space with a dry floor. We are also in the process of hacking away at the toilet floor and start again with that job. They’re never going to be the most glamorous toilets but they can be better for sure. We are constantly reinvesting in the brewery bar to make it a warm and welcoming place to visit, it’s just a shame the set backs we’ve had this year eating into our precious budget.

In other news we’ve a newsletter coming out on Wednesday with a load of information about events we’ve got happening, some alterations to opening and closing times, great bands and opportunities to earn extra Swipii Loyalty Points. You’ll be able to view it online in pdf form or grab a copy in the bar and stick it to your fridge. On the brewing front we’ve got some new beers rolling out, some collaborations and trying to guess what will be popular in the run up to Christmas for casks, kegs, bottles and mini kegs so we are going to be busy in the next few weeks!

Keep an eye on our website for updates and Facebook events – these can all be seen publicly, you don’t have to be signed up. It’s #FirstyFriday this week with the Burt’s Gone Buskin’ and Saturday 11th November we are having a Beer Launch Party so come grab some tasters and giveaways!

We’ve loads of live music and events planned for 2018 plus bringing back our August Firsty Friday Beer Festival as so many people mourned it’s absence this year and asked us to resurrect it.

Keep following, keep sharing and keep talking about Offbeat 🙂
