Since we moved everything about, the Brewery Bar has become a huge focus of Offbeat. In January we added some glass doors, new heaters and ‘carpet’ to bring a bit more warmth to this cool, quirky space along with some new tables so between the two rooms there’s a load of seating.
There’s always a range of Offbeat beers on along with some guests. We have draft and bottled cider, a wine list, a selection of soft drinks and a gin collection that keeps growing. We also stock some rum and vodka too. We’ve added some brewery tech too, the Beer Menus app is fantastic. Download it from the Google or Apple stores and you can see what’s on at the bar as well as the tasting notes for the beers and ciders on draft. It also feeds through to our live beer menu screen so when we change a beer it’s updated at the click of a button, no more faffing about finding chalk.
We are currently open Thursday and Friday evenings 5 to 10pm but in July and August we’ll be adding Saturday opening hours for our Summer of Beer events along with more live music. I’ve got to fit brewing and deliveries in to the week too so this is what works here!
The bar is available for private parties too, we don’t charge a room hire fee and have hosted a number of different events like engagements and birthdays. With a load of free parking and great selection of beers and gins it gets a lot of ticks in boxes!
The latest arrival is the new version of the Turbo Hop Twister, there’s a separate blog post coming very soon about this as we hope to have it up and running for #FirstyFriday but if you like your beer extra tasty then you’re going to love this!
#FirstyFriday is still our big monthly open night, click here for details of the bands that are on the first Friday of the month. But give us a try another Thursday or Friday and you might enjoy what you find!
Dotty DIPA should be on cask this week at the revised strength of 7.4%, she’s been missed by many.
