For those of you who are regulars at #FirstyFriday and for those of you who are just finding us through the lure of beer, cider, gin, wine and cheese, here’s the lowdown on our annual Beer festival.
Taking place at the brewery (Thomas Street, Crewe, CW1 2BD) on Thursday 4th August 5 – 10pm, Friday 5th August 12 to 10pm and Saturday 6th August 12 to 10pm and it’s free entry.
We do run a token system on the Friday evening from 5pm and all day Saturday – besides me everyone else helping out is a volunteer and the easier we make it the quicker you get served so no learning complicated till systems or trying to add up rounds of a dozen drinks. We will refund any unused tokens.
There will be 2 bars, one in its usual place and one in by the band in the middle unit. The middle unit will just have beer and some cider on it. The main bar will also have the lovely gins, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
There’s music on Friday night from local ukele band the Muckers, if you’ve not seen them they’re great – we love having them here. Start time will be around 7.30 – 8pm. Saturday late afternoon (4pm to about 6pm) Baxter are with us and followed by Rivers and Kidd through in to the evening.
Thursday evening food will be our fab cheese fondues and cheese and meat boards with chutneys and fresh bread. Friday evening and all day Saturday we are handing over the catering to Bistro Box Bites – here’s the menu plus read on below!

For the gin lovers you are in for a real treat with August’s special to be served with strawberries. How’s that for a teaser?!
